DOC RAND & HIS PURPLE BLUES- I Need A Woman (Lance 106)
Spent a week in wonderful Albuquerque and the surrounding area over the summer. Gotta say the Duke City offerings were extremely slim. I had much better luck east of the city going through the combined record collection of my mother-in-law's brothers and a local thrift. The only local record I found was this soul piece on the local Lance label. Nice driving bit from a partly black / partly chicano outfit. Hammered to be sure, but swingin' still.
