Released in June of 1956, the year rock n' roll blasted wide open. It's certainly nothing groundbreaking. Not even too far a' stretch from that Little Richard feller on Specialty. Speaking of Specialty.. This is Marvin Phillips, one half of Marvin and Johnny who had previously recorded for Specialty before coming up with the popular "Cherry Pie" on Modern.
